Mystery Man

This is curtousy of the visitor who was in camp recently. I understand he is big hat in Arkansas, so he couldn't use his real voice or face.

Good to see the word is spreading.

Humans Make Better Parents

I should probably cancel my subscription to Time Magazine, every time I read it, I find something that makes me sick.

This week I read a story about a vampire couple that is suing Washington state for the right to adopt a human child.

Well, let me tell you something, a bunch of fools and socialists in Wash DC might have been insane enough to give vampires rights, but if they think we humans are going to sit around producing snacks for them, they got another think coming.

Seriously, there are times when I wonder if the entire world has gone crazy. If I told you a few years ago we'd be talking about whether the government should hand over babies to vampires, we'd a all had a good laugh. Now some sick liberals are considering it.

For all you free thinkers out there, (not that too many of yall are reading this!!!) here are some reasons why humans make the best parents.

1. They don't eat their children.

2. They are not creatures of darkness, and can teach their children Christian lifestyle and values

3. They have more in common with human children (eating, breathing, dying etc.)

I'm not sure if logic even means anything to anyone anymore, but that's my 2 cents.

Special Ops

Some of yall might have noticed that Stackhouse and I have been held out of training. We were selected to work on a special project. I am not at liberty to get into what we are building, the entire church will know soon enough!!

(I'll tell you this: it aint no jungle gym.)

Blowgun Update

Doing some reasearch into the "Breath of Death" I have found some very powerful blowguns. You can also easily buy bamboo .625 calibur darts for big bore blowguns.

Some of them also have glow in the dark tracer wires, which I think would be useful for night hunting.

However, it looks likes even Teflon-coated blowguns top out at about 400 feet per second. The is easily fast enough to penetrate half-inch plywood, but I think the jury is out on whether that could penetrate a rib cage. I might conduct some experiments with a rack of beef ribs.

SOS Bloopers

Since I rededicated myself, I don't have a lot of time for kidding around, but that don't mean I have lost my sense of humor. After I showed my appreciation to Gunny over the other vids, he sent me this one, which he thought I would enjoy.

Looks kind of familiar...

Weapons of Choice

As part of my training, I have been educating myself on the weapons that could be most effective in vampire combat.

Not that much is really known about what takes down vampires, how much time you have to react, ect.

We do know that stakes through the heart does the job and exposure to sunlight does the job. Silver hurts them, but you hear a lot of different things about how much, and a lot of the people online don't know what they are freakin talking about.

An idea that I have been toying around with is a blowdart. If you haven't seen a high-velocity blowgun recently, you should check them out (all the hunting stores have them). They are very powerful and easy to use. You could get some nice distance between you and the vamp.

And if a wooden stake/shish k-bob skewer is used, it would be as effective as a stake. There is a debate about whether they have the power, but if you go to Youtube and search "big bore blowgun" or something like it, you will see all kinds of different demonstrations.

My Girl

Sleeping in a room with all of yall and knowing your bad habits, I wasn't sure about posting this. But after our discussion the other night, I thought I'd show you guys the woman behind the man, so to speak. This is from a Halloween party we threw in the basement of the football house — crazy days, man. Pretty sweet costume though, right?

Camp Fuji Combat Training

Do you ever wonder if the training we do is the real deal? A guy called Harold keeps a blog about physical training and fitness. Although I have some different opinions (pullup bar ver. Machine, ect.) there is some great stuff on the site. Check out the video of marines training for their combat test here. Look familiar?

I think our unit is as good as these guys - http://www.myptsmail.com/harold/blog/?p=719.

NEW SOS VIDEO!!! Vampire Hunting

Not a ton of action in this one, but it gives you a good feeling of what it is like when it is just you and your boys against the unknown.

I wonder how long it will be before it is us out there...

Relations with a Corpse?

I am not a fan of the mainstream media and I will tell you why. Last week I was reading a long cover story in Time Magazine. It was called Vampire Marriage...Here to Stay?

Magazines like this always go all out trying to be "balanced" and show both sides of a story. Both sides??? We are talking about marrying a dead person. You would be litterally having sex with a dead body. Except for the fact that every now and then, this person would sink their fangs into you for fun and get blood all over the place and drink your blood.

Do I really have to explain why this is wrong? Sometimes I wonder if this world can really be saved. Maybe we should just wait around for armageddin. (I also recommend watching Rev. Steve's homily on the topic.)

Gunney's Story

If you checked out that mojo clip I posted a ways back, you'll recognize Gunny Buell. I always knew he was a tough mother but you gotta check out this clip, which explains why he got involved with the SOS and why everyone should get into it.

On My Knees

Jesus washed the feet of John the Baptist. I remember learning that in Sunday school but I never thought much about it, except maybe it was kind of weird.

I been pushed before, a lot of times, but I have never been through anything like the last two weeks. I'm still dog tired, and I don't really feel like postin, but I wanted to get something out after what we been going through.

My dad always taught me that if you work hard, you can be the best. That was always true for me all my life and it also helped get me here, when I thought I was a washout after A&M.

But when you put everything you got out, and you are still on the wrong side of the fence, what then?

I think I may have learned something that I always said I believed in, but now I realize I didn't. I had to be broken down to learn it. Everybody is small. In the universe. We only become big when we belong to something bigger. Jesus was the savior of the world and he washed somebody's feet.

The other day Sarah Newlin said that God needs our Faith. And our obedience.

I believe we have been chosen. I believe God wants to take his best and break them into pieces and put them together into something bigger. Big enough to do a job so big that no one could do it on their own.

Too tire.

A Surprise Coming to Camp?

Gunny Buell and Sgt. Gabe came by our table at chow today and told us we'd better be ready, because we were about to get tested big time. He said the lunch line would probably be a lot less crowded next week.

Ready to be tested? I say bring it on.
